How do I sync the schedule with Google Calendar?
Settings → Google Calendar has a connect button. Whoever connects approves their own Google account — their schedule syncs with their own calendar only, for as long as the site is open.
What's the difference between cancelling a habit and deleting it?
Cancelling takes the habit off the board from today on and keeps all its history — it can be restored later. Deleting is permanent, and the history goes with it.
How do I back up or move my data to another device?
Settings has export and import of a JSON file with all the data — habits, ticks and tasks.
A task linked to a habit — what exactly does ticking it do?
A tick like that has no done-state of its own: it writes the habit's log, so the schedule and the board always agree. Two tasks of the same habit on the same day stay independent of each other.
